Who says playing dress up is only for girls??? Growing up I loved playing with the dress up chest. We were cheerleaders, princesses and I even had a little German girl outfit. Lately my boys have had a blast dressing up. I think it is a great way to boost their imagination and make believe play. I have a tub for their dress up which includes old halloween costumes, masks, tool belts, cowboy hats, suspenders, fireman boots, and this totally cool cape. You could even add odd items, and they’ll think of something for them.
They’ll be creative and they’ll have fun. No, dress up is not only for girls!

My cousins brought their son over the other day and he had a little cape like that and it was velcroed onto his t shirt – apparently they have put velcro squares on the shoulders of a bunch of his t shirts so he can wear his cape when ever he wants – your post reminded me of it.
That’s really cute, thanks! It’s fun how kids can get so attached to an article of clothing, or cape.

I love that last pic! Made me laugh out loud! Thanks for the dress up ideas. I’m going to feature this post on my Weekly Kid’s Co-op post tomorrow (Friday). Come by, check it out, and grab a button.
